When I was new to student ministry about 12 years ago and when I had more hair on my head my pastor ask me about youth ministry resources that I was using. I told him that I had no idea that there were any youth ministry resources out there. You have to remember that we had one computer that had dial up on it and that computer was in the finical office of the church and there was one Christian book store in the area and I had already bought all the books they had under youth ministry.
He asked what other people were doing in their ministry and if I had made contact with them to see if they would let me see their resources. I had no one in the area to ask about their youth ministry resources and I felt like I didn't have time to do that. I finally found an internet site that had great resources on it and I bought all they had I think I spent all my budget of about $30 a month on resources.
I was now able to to hang out with my family, students and I could keep my pastor informed on what I was teaching for the next three months all because of what I could download from the internet. Time has past and now we a have this thing call the internet and it is everywhere and that means that there are youth ministry resources all over the web. Web pages upon web pages of great resources that you can download and use today or next week. It's a great time to be a student pastor that is just starting out or a seasoned student pastor that has more than 12
years of experience.Don't feel like you have to always recreate the wheel download and adapt for your youth ministry needs. Just think of it as you are adding to all the hours that they put into creating the talk, PowerPoint game, or small group resource.

1) Just use Google and type in what you need
2) Ask around and find out what other student pastors are using
3) Download and adapt for your group
4) Search for a youth pastor forum and ask others what they are using
5) Buy Youth Ministry Resources from the internet
